Incoterms

Incoterms are International Commercial Terms by International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).

These are same worldwide including Bangladesh.

It shows the responsibility of exporter, importer, shipping lines, airlines, freight forwarders, transportation companies.

There are many incoterms like:

1. EXW Ex Works (Place of Delivery - Usually Exporter's Premises) : Importer or his carrier is responsible to transport the goods from exporters premises including local export & customs formalities.

2. FCA Free Carrier (Place of Delivery - usually exporters seaport or airport) : Importer or his carrier is responsible to transport the goods from main carriage of sea freight or air freight.

3. FAS Free Alongside Ship (Port of shipment - usually exporters seaport or airport): Importer or his carrier is responsible to transport the goods from ship side of exporters seaport or aircraft side of exporters airport.

4. FOB Free Onboard (Port of shipment - usually exporters seaport or airport): Importer or his carrier is responsible to transport the goods from onboard ship or onboard airline of exporter.

5. CFR Cost & Freight (Port of destination - usually importers seaport or airport): Importer or his carrier is responsible to custom clear at destination and take delivery of the goods.

6. CIF Cost, Insurance & Freight (Port of destination - usually importers seaport or airport): Importer or his carrier is responsible to custom clear at destination and take delivery of the goods.

7. CPT Carriage Paid To (Place of destination - usually importers seaport or airport): Importer or his carrier is responsible to custom clear at destination and take delivery of the goods.

8. CIPT Carriage & Insurance Paid To (Place of destination - usually importers seaport or airport): Importer or his carrier is responsible to custom clear at destination and take delivery of the goods.

9. DPU Delivered at Place Unloaded (Place of destination - usually importers place): Importer or his carrier is responsible to custom clear at destination but take delivery of the goods at his premises.

10. DAP Delivered at Place (Place of destination - usually importers place): Importer or his carrier is responsible to custom clear at destination but take delivery of the goods at his premises.

11. DDP Delivered Duty Paid (Place of destination - usually importers place): Importer or his carrier is responsible to take delivery of the goods at his premises.
